Harold J. (Jim) Hoover

HOOVER Harold J. "Jim" Hoover, age 81, of Plain City, OH, formerly of Hilliard, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Sanctuary of Dublin, OH. He was employed at General Motors for 38 years. A 1945 graduate of Hilliard High School, he was a member of Hilliard United Methodist Church, US Army Veteran, American Legion Post 614 and Northwest Historical Society. Preceded in death by parents Frank and Marie Hoover. Survived by loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Janet (Dever) Hoover; by his sons, Jeff (Pam), Joe (Sherri), Jim (Debbie) of Hilliard; grandchildren, Mike (Julia), Brian (Missy) Hoover, Beth (Ryan) Puckett, Megan (Brian) Goudy, Kristan Hoover and Ryan Hoover; and four great-granddaughters. Survived by sister, Emogene Skipton; and brother, Bob (Mae) Hoover. The family will receive friends Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard. Funeral service Tuesday 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Ziegel officiating. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to the local Alzheimer's or Parkinsons foundation.
