Harold Rapp, age 90, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Saturday August 29, 2009. He served our country as a WWII Army veteran. Harold was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Sterling, Masonic Lodge #269 of Mt. Sterling, and the VFW #417. Preceded in death by loving wife, Emma S. Rapp; parents, Elwood and Ruth Rapp. Survived by daughters, Jerri Rapp, Linda (Charles) Bricker, and Janie Ladley (Doug Crabbe); grandchildren, Leslie (Clyde) Ohnewehr, Andy (Courtney) Bricker, Chris (Melissa) Ladley, and Jennifer Ladley (Chad Baird); five great-grandchildren; brother, Kenny (Jean) Rapp; sister, Joan Hines; special friends Barry Ladley and Betty Lewis; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of good friends. Friends may call Tuesday from 12-2pm at THE PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME 331 W. Main St. Mt. Sterling where a funeral service will be held that day at 2pm. Interment Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist church of Mt. Sterling, The Mt. Sterling Community Center, or Sterling EMS.
