Helen Hawker, age 82 of Orient, died February 2, 2011 at Brown Memorial in Circleville. She was born Sept. 12, 1928 in Xenia, Ohio. Daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Ater) Noble.
Helen was a retired Branch Manager for Noble Trucking.
Preceded in death by parents, brothers Sam A. and Frederick; husband, Thomas E. Hawker.
Survived by children Tanya (Sam) Pepper of Yuma, AZ., Thomas O. (Karen) Hawker of Orient, and Christy Oesterle also of Orient; 3 grandchildren Sam T. Pepper, Tommy & Brian Hawker; sister, Dixie (Gabby) DeVoe of Xenia.
A Memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. The family will receive friends beginning 2:00 until time of service. In keeping with Helen’s wishes, cremation was requested.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorial contributions to Heartland Hospice 6500 Busch Blvd., Columbus, OH., 43229.
