Helen Grace Proffitt

Helen Grace Proffitt, age 88, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2015 at Altercare of Hilliard. Grace was born in Antiquity, Ohio on January 12, 1927 to Ada and Peter Wolfe. She married Howard Proffitt in 1946 and together they had a daughter Lynn. Grace worked as a bookkeeper in car dealerships around the Columbus area. She was a faithful member of the Community of Christ. Grace loved her family, enjoyed singing, serving in her church and was an avid reader. Grace is survived by her daughter Lynn (Don) Reese, grandchildren Eric (Jennifer) Reese and Erin (Josh) Crary. She leaves six great grandchildren; Ava, Austin, Savannah, Aiden, Tyler and Jacob. Grace has one remaining sister, Alice Beach. She was predeceased by her husband Howard 1994, her parents, sisters Josephine, Alice, Doris, Mary Virginia, Betty and brother Harold. A memorial service will be held at Grove City Community of Christ on a date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Grace’s name to Ohio Health Hospice.
