Herman Caplinger

Herman Carlson “Carl” Caplinger, age 91, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, in Dublin, OH. Born February 14, 1925, in Leesburg, OH to the late Clarence and Ruth Caplinger. He was an U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart. Retired from The Union Company; and was previously the owner of Caplinger Homes. Also preceded in death by wife, Dolores M. Caplinger; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by sons, Dennis (Myra) and Greg Caplinger; grandchildren, Kimberly (Dave) Mahaney, Tori Caplinger, Buddy (Angie) Caplinger and Monica (Dan) Divine; great grandchildren, Jensen and Katie Glick, Nick and Andrew Mahaney, Faith and Kyle Caplinger and Cameron Divine; great-great granddaughter, Milah Glick. Friends may call Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard, OH. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, 6440 S. High St. in Lockbourne, OH, immediately following procession from the funeral home. Interment will follow at the gravesite.
