Herman Eugene Weber

Herman Eugene Weber, age 87, of Westerville, formerly of Upper Arlington, born November 6, 1924, passed away Friday, December 30 , 2011. Son of the late Frank and Ednah Weber, Hilliard. Brother of the late Juanita (Carl) Huffman, Hilliard. Loving husband of the late Patricia Ann Weber. Survived by sons, Phil (Debbie), Hilliard, and Mike (Ava) Cincinnati; daughters, Kathy (Bob) Taylor, Green Bay, WI, Kris (Bob) Poole, St. Louis, MO, and Patti Hanlin, Westerville; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Gene served in the Marine Corps 542 Night Fighter Squadron during WWII and later in the Korean War. Gene graduated from Hilliard High School in 1942 and attended The Ohio State University. He went on to have successful careers in both the trucking and real estate businesses. A devoted family man, Gene enjoyed cheering on the Buckeyes, camping, hunting, fishing, but especially spending time with family and friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-8 PM at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Thursday at St. Andrews Catholic Church 1899 McCoy Road Columbus, Ohio 43220 with Father Michael Watson officiating. Interment Alton Cemetery.
