Homer P. McCown, age 97, of Hilliard, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014. WWII Army-Air Corp Veteran, the 98th Bomber Group “The Pyramidiers.” He was a Fleet Sales Manager for Jack Schmidt Oldsmobile; where he retired. Member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, Lytham Rd. Preceded in death by parents Carl and Maggie McCown, brother Harold McCown and sister Alma Dell “Sis” Manning. Survived by loving wife of 61 years Ellamae, daughters Pamela Kibbee and Linda (Thomas) McTurner, grandsons Michael Kibbee, Thomas McTurner III and Aaron McTurner, nephew Jerry McCown and great niece Nancee Gotway. Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday, April 4 , 2014 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday, April 5, 2014 with Pastor Brodie Taphorn officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
