Ida P. Ollom, age 81 of Orient died Sunday, June 23, 2013 in Doctors West Hospital, Columbus. She was born May 7, 1932 in New Martinsville, W. VA. Daughter of the late Fredrick and Suzanna (Clegg) Myers.
Ida was a graduate of Magnolia High School, Class of 1950; member of the Rebecca Lodge.
Preceded in death by husband Donald O. Ollom on April 14, 2000 and her son Donald E. Ollom on October 19, 2007.
Survived by her children Jenny Shimp, LaDonna Dusing (Dan), and Dean Ollom; grandchildren Alex (Tori) Bakalas, Donald B. Ollom, Dean T. Ollom, Jessica Ollom, Danielle Dusing; great-grandchildren Noah Mindlin, Landon Ollom, Sophia Bakalas; Special friends Karen Powers, Pinball Pinky McDavid, Anna Cerotans, Angie Dingus; many nieces, nephews, sister-in-law and a host of friends.
A Funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Friday June 28, 2013 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Dortha Ross, Alex Bakalas, and Danielle Dusing officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers family suggest memorial contributions to a favorite charity or ASPCA.
