It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Isaac Matia Kintu Mulumba, a beloved son, brother, and friend, whose life, though brief, was filled with immense love. Isaac was born on June 3, 2004, to Matia and Mary Mulumba, who cherished him deeply. He grew up alongside his sister Caroline, and brother Gabriel creating countless memories filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support. Isaac always came to God seeking answers about life. His simple demeanor embedded his robust thirst for God.
Isaac was a bright young man with a curious mind and a determined spirit. He graduated from Central Crossing High School where he played the violin in the school’s orchestra. He first attended Wright State University and then transitioned to Columbus State where he studied Computer Science. One of the highlights of Isaac’s life was his 2023 trip to Uganda, where he reconnected with his roots and spent time with family members from both sides. He often spoke fondly of this trip, cherishing the warmth, love and joy he experienced while immersing himself in his heritage. It was a time that brought him immense happiness and a deep sense of belonging.
Isaac had a profound love for music, often losing himself in melodies that inspired and comforted many. He also spent time playing and coding video games which brought him great joy. Isaac served in Awana, and Sunday school as he enjoyed interacting with children. His quirky sense of humor, gentle spirit, and genuine kindness drew people towards him, but Isaac tended to guard his sense of privacy. As a deep thinker, Issac always sought explanations to questions only God could answer. Resting in the arms of His Savior brings to an end the unanswered questions. Now Isaac can finally experience true peace.
He will be missed by his loving parents, his devoted siblings, and a host of extended family and friends who will forever hold his memory dear.
Isaac’s time with us has been short, but his kindness, compassion, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew him. In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of the Lord whom he loved so deeply, and we trust in the promise of eternal life.
Rest in peace, dear Isaac. You will forever be loved, missed, and remembered. May God’s light guide us until we meet again.
