Ivan D. Mounts, age 70 of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday, February 4, 2010 in Grant Medical Center, Columbus. He was born April 25, 1939 in Pike County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Rosavelt and Pearl (Vance) Mounts.
He was a retired Maintenance Superintendant of Orient Corrections; served in the US Army, member of Masonic Lodge #232 F & AM of Lockbourne; Aladin Brutal Brothers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. Mounts (5-3-99).
Survived by son, Ivan D. (Lisa M.) Mounts of Lucasville; daughter, Laticia Lockhard of GA.; grandchildren, Ivan D. Mounts III, William Matthew Mounts, Tyler Mounts, Jhanna Lockhard, Kayla Sprigs and Ranae Sprigs; several great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, & cousins.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling from 4 – 7 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. a Funeral service will be held with Rev. Ron Reynolds officiating. At the close of the funeral service, a Masonic service will be given in honor of Ivan Mounts.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been requested following the services.
