Jack Edward Willer of Columbus, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 20, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 16, 1926, to Stanley and Edith Willer in Dayton, Kentucky. He married Betty Jean Willer on September 9, 1950; they were married for over 69 years before Betty's passing.
Jack graduated from Walnut Hills High School in 1944 and immediately entered the V-12 Naval Officer Training at Purdue University. After WWII, he attended the University of Cincinnati where he earned his master's degree in aeronautical engineering. His first career was spent at North American Aviation (Rockwell International); in 1971, Jack felt the Lord's calling to begin Northside Christian School which is now located in Westerville, Ohio.
Survivors include his six children: Doodie (Keith) Hutchison, Beth (Phil) Larsen, Robert (Yvonne) Willer, Sarah (Tom) Carlson, John Willer, Dan (Shannon) Willer. He was blessed with twelve grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. His love and devotion to family, faith, and friends sustained him throughout his life. He lived to give to others.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Tidd Funeral Home in Hilliard, Ohio. The memorial service will take place at 10:30 am on Friday, December 1, 2023, also at Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026. Grandson Dr. Andrew Larsen will be the officiant.
