James Robert “Bob” Jelley, age 87, died at Riverside Hospital Sunday, January 27, 2008. Bob was born in Ashland, OH, attended Ashland High School class of 39 and Ashland college class of 43. He spent three years in the U.S. Army Air Corps where he became a pilot and B29 flight engineer. Bob was an associate with F&R Lazarus Co. for 34 years. He led the “Bob Jolly” orchestra for 45 years for which he was honored by induction into the Columbus Musicians Senior Hall of Fame in 2003. Bob was also an officer and active member of The St. Vincent De Paul Society. Survived by wife Patricia, daughters Terry and Jody and grandchildren Kaylee, Kevin, and K.C. Stahr. Visiting hours are
10- 11 am Saturday at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard. A mass and luncheon will follow the visiting hours for those who wish to attend. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to St. Brendan Conference of The St. Vincent De Paul Society, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026.
