James Warren Burlile, 76 of Mt. Sterling died Monday, February 8, 2010 in Country Glenn Care Center in Washington Court House. He was born Jan. 30, 1934 in Washington C.H., OH. The son of the late George “Dewey” Burlile and Iva Dawson.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Emma Jane, Donna, Nancy, and infant sister; brother, David.
He is survived by lifelong companion, Delores Dummitt; children, James W. (Brenda) Burlile, Jr. of Huntington, W. VA., Jeff (Rhonda) Burlile of Reeseville, OH., Dale Dummitt of Washington C.H., Katrina and Tracey Dummitt, both of Mt. Sterling, Cassandra Evans of Mt. Sterling; 14 grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Fred McGath.
A Celebration of Life with gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Mt. Sterling American Legion Hall from 1 – 3 p.m. Special remembrances will be given by his son, Rev. James W. Burlile, Jr.
In keeping with his wishes, his body was given as an anatomical gift to The Ohio State University Dept. of Cell Biology, Neurobiology & Anatomy.
