James T. Conway, Sr.

James T. Conway, Sr., age 85, of Derby, OH, died peacefully at home on Monday, July 16, 2018.  Born in Kentucky in 1933, Jim was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was preceded in death by his mother Ella Conway Mouch, father Ballard Conway, step-father William Mouch, brothers Sheldon Conway and Tommy Conway, sister Julia Conway, step-daughter Terri Junkins.  Jim was a 37-year retiree of the Teamsters #413.  He was a lifetime member of VFW #11208-Harrisburg Post and a member of Moose Lodge #206.  Jim was a very social person who loved fishing, euchre and people.  He loved to talk and never met a stranger!  He was a long-time member of Derby United Methodist Church.  “Thank you” to all of the church members for your prayers.  Thanks, as well, to Mt. Carmel West Hospital-especially to Cardio.  And thanks to the Euchre Club for all of your help and support.  Jim is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Jean Conway; his children: Shelly (Terry) Seniuk of Grove City, OH, James, Jr. (Janice) Conway of Grove City, John “Pat” Conway of Groveport, OH, Joseph “Joe” (Jennifer) Conway of Groveport, Sherri (Rodney) Van Sickle of Mt. Sterling, OH, Kathy McKehan of Columbus and Michael Gossard of Washington Court House, OH; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; special friend Ronny Cox, and many other friends.  Funeral Services will be held 1:00p.m. FRIDAY, JULY 20, 2018 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt.
