James Daniels

James Daniels, age 64, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025. James was born on September 8, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Mildred Pabst and Woodrow Daniels.

James loved watching Nascar and the history channel, he enjoyed spending his time going to car shows, drag races, and cooking out with his family. There was nothing James loved more than spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play their sports.

To know my dad was to love my dad. He was a gentle giant with the kindest heart. If I could choose one word to describe my dad it would be, strength. Over the last few years he overcame so much and taught me so very much. We got to witness first hand the love he had for his grandchildren and the selflessness that came with just being him. He was and always will be one of a kind, there will never be another him. Missing him is bound to happen & the tears will most certainly fall, but I know he is somewhere beautiful saying ‘Oh, Cass you stop that’ with that chuckle that I can’t wait to hear again.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Pabst and Woodrow Daniels, and his brother, Phil Pabst. 

He is survived by his children, Shaun and Cassie Daniels, siblings, Garry Daniels, Larry Daniels, Fred Daniels, Mike Pabst and Pam Willis, and grandchildren, Aeos Daniels, Gage Daniels, Kane Daniels, and Elliot Hill. 

The family invites friends and family for a Visitation and funeral service on Monday, April 14, 2025, at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, Ohio, 43026. The visitation will be held from 11:00AM to 12:00PM with the funeral service following immediately after at 12:00PM.
