James Hathaway

James C. Hathaway, age 82, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at Riverside Hospital. Retired from Columbus Dispatch after 40 years of service. Member of Columbus #30, Scottish Rite, Hilliard VFW #4931, and Amvets. Past president of
U.P. I.G.A. and was a decorated Army Veteran of WWII. Preceded in death by parents Raymond and Edna Hathaway, brother John Edward Hathaway, and sister Ruth Edna Hathaway. Survived by loving wife of 60 years Patty, sons Steve (Betsy) Hathaway of Gahanna and Tim (Karen) Hathaway of Columbus, daughter Debi (John) Wolley of Hilliard, numerous loved grandchildren and great grandchildren, and his loving companion pet Buddy. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Saturday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard. Please omit flowers; contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Immidating following the memorial service a celebration of life will be held at the Hilliard VFW #4931.
