James Hollar

James Allen Hollar, age 78, of Mt. Sterling, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 30, 2019, at the Signature Health Care of Fayette County. Born December 6, 1940, in Mount Sterling, Ohio a son of Charles William and Helen Erma (Morgan) Hollar. He was a longtime member of the Antioch Church, worked and retired from General Motors in 1992. He loved to sing, enjoyed horses and spending time with his family. James is preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Helen Hollar, first wife: Connie Sandra Chambers (Jimmy and Samantha's mother), second wife: Clara Ann Hampton siblings: Joseph, Keith, Charles "Mots", John, Harvey, Frances, Arietta, Martha, and Charlotte. He is survived by his loving wife Betty, children: Jimmy (Brenda) Hollar, Samantha (Rick) Jones, Dale Stewart, Marlene Stewart, Larry Stewart, Rina Ferguson, Jeffrey Stewart, Sandy Rosier, Vicky Coffman, Tony Fox and Jimmy (Jeanette) Fox, sisters: Cora "Boots" Matthews, Mary (Jack) Brill, grandchildren: Gabriel, Gavin Jones, Jacob Hollar, and several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren: Hayden, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. MAIN ST., MT. STERLING, OH 43143, Wednesday, December 4, 2019, from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 5, 2019, at 11 AM with Pastor James Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
