James Irons

James “Jim” William Irons, age 67, of Dublin, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014. Preceded in death by parents Andrew and Catherine Irons, son Doug, daughter Katie, sister Janet Shield, brothers Bob and Tom Irons. Graduated from Catholic Central High School in Detroit and Michigan State University where he received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Building Construction. Member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. He was a Project Manager for Manor Homes and former employee of Turner Construction Company. Member of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church. Proudest achievement was renovation of Ohio Theater. His favorite things to do included, racquetball, numismatics and playing with his grandchildren; especially with the train. Jim loved vacationing at Ocean Isle Beach, NC with his family. Survived by loving wife of 45 years, Donna, daughters Debbie (Keith) Braley and Kim Irons, sister Patti Campbell, grandchildren Olivia and Taggart. Family will receive friends 5-7 pm Wednesday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Thursday at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 7179 Avery Rd., Dublin, OH 43017. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO BOX 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
