James "Jim" Morris

James ‘Jim’ Chester Morris passed away unexpectedly at the age of 85 on the 26th of August, 2023. He was born on December 18, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Clyde Woodrow and Lucy Ellen (Montgomery) Morris and had 3 siblings; Carolyn (Ed), the late Carl (Soni) and Debbie. He married Diana ‘Joy’ (Merritt) Morris on December 2, 1956 and they were blessed to share 64 years together.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joy and their children; Tim (the late Sue), John (Lysa), Terri (Kelli) and Tom (the late Sandy), as well as their 23 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and his siblings.

Throughout his life, he walked with the Lord and was a good, loving, joyful, gentle and kind man who had a witty sense of humor. Having made a nearly indescribable impact on their lives, Jim will be dearly missed by his family, friends and many others.

Family and friends may come to the Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St, Hilliard, OH 43026 on Tuesday, September 5th for calling hours from 4 - 6:30 p.m and a service at 6:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 6th at 11 a.m to lay Jim to rest at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 3225 Dublin Rd.
