James W. Mason, age 69 of Columbus, died November 16, 2009 at his residence. He was born August 22, 1940 in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
He was the son of the late Elmer and Helen (Gulick) Mason.
Jim was a 1958 graduate of Mt. Sterling High School; served in the US Air Force; and retired from Metal Graphics and a Carpenter with the State of Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn (Sells) Mason; children, W. James (Marcie) Mason of Vancouver, WA., Shelly (Dan) Iulianelli of Canal Winchester; grandchildren Vanessa, Carrissa, and Marria; sister, Trudy (Dave) Mullenix of Akron, Ohio; Nieces & Nephews; and Jim’s special friend, Harley.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 20, 2009 from 3 – 7 p.m. at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. At the closing of visitation, the Circleville Amvets Post #2256 will perform a military service and present the flag to Mrs. Mason. Inspirational words and prayer will then be given by Rev. Dortha Ross.
In keeping with the wishes of Mr. Mason, cremation will follow and burial of his cremains will be at the convenience of the family.
