James Ufert

James M. Ufert, age 70, of Columbus, passed away peacefully as his residence March 14, 2015. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Retired from Action Industries in Cheswick, PA, and was also employed with Giant Eagle. Member of Lodge Plum Creek Monroeville No. 799 Pittsburg, PA. Preceded in death by parents Robert Ufert and Elavon Cheslick. Survived by loving wife of 34 years, Donna; sister, Jane (Ray) Horton of Salem, MS; nephews, Stephen, Jeff, Michael, Christopher; and cousin, Michael Ufert; numerous loving relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday 5-8 p.m. at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43206, where a funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
