James Alan White

James Alan White “Jim” (70), passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.  Jim was born in Columbus, OH on February 6, 1953 to John G. and Florence (Fulaytor) White.  He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Melissa (Evans) White; his daughter, Sheila (Michael) Buckley and his son, Rob (Kim) White; his grandchildren, Grace, Emily and William Buckley; his sisters, Marilyn Patrick and Sharon Kelly; sister-in-law, Kathy White, along with many nieces and nephews.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Richard White.

Jim graduated from Hilliard High School in 1971.  He made a career at Ohio Bell (Now, AT&T) for 33 years.  After retirement and still wanting to work, he spent 17 years as a school bus driver for the Hilliard City Schools.

Jim was characterized as one who loved to help people.  He equally loved his family.  Many memories were made around the backyard bonfires and outdoor activities.  

A special thanks goes out to the Ohio’s Hospice Loving Care for their exceptional help in assisting Jim in his final battles.  Your service will not be forgotten.

The family will receive friends for a visitation and funeral service for Jim at Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard, OH.  The visitation will be on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 PM.  The funeral will be on Monday, December 18th at 1:00 PM.  Chaplain Dr. Tom Schwind will officiate.
