Jan Martin

Jan Martin, age 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2014 with her family by her side. Jan is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Joe and her children, Jodi (Jeff) Yaney and Jeff (Kim) Martin. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Jenna (Benjamin) Chandhok, Jessica Yaney, Jordan Yaney, Sam Martin and Sarah Martin. Jan was an active member of St. Brendan Catholic Church and the Women's Club. She was a strong right arm for the priests and the parish during her life, where she was instrumental in the preparation of many event meals. Her many recognitions include: St. Brendan School Hall of Fame Award, 1996-97; Greater Columbus Chapter of the Knights of Columbus, Woman of the Year, 1999; Knights of Columbus, Family of the Year, 2000; and the Columbus Diocese Woman of the Year, Finalist, 2012-13. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 19 at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Rd. in Hilliard where friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Msgr. John Johnson will be officiating. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH. Arrangements with the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Brendan Catholic Church.
