Janet Parsons

Janet Parsons, age 75, of Hilliard, was delivered into the loving arms of her Savior on October 24, 2011. Graduate of Hilliards High School Class of 1953 and a graduate of The Ohio State University Class of 1957 with a Bachelors in Human Ecology. Member of Hilliard United Methodist Church, where she served on various committees and was very involved with the choir. She was a member and area representative of A.F.S. Preceded in death by parents Oburn and Beatrice (Wolfe) Pierce. Survived by loving husband of 54 years, Gene, daughter Theresa Lynn (Larry) Thomas and their daughter Rachel Thomas, son Jerry (Laurie) Parsons and their children Rebecca and Daniel Parsons, son Todd Parsons and his children David Parsons and Sara (Matthew) Mullens and their son Carson, and the exchange students whom she and Gene love as their own, Silvia (Alonso) Ariet, Gilmar Gianni and Valerio de Stasio. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kellie Reynolds, her family and the staff at The Serenity House; where Janet received much love and care. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Funeral service will be held 10 am Friday at the Hilliard United Methodist Church, 5445 Scioto Darby Rd., Hilliard, OH with Pastor David Ziegel officiating. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
