Janet Vance

Janet Marion Gill Vance passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 28. 2020. She was born 08/1/1933 to Lawrence T Gill and Virginia L Gaskill Gill in Columbus, OH.  Janet was a graduate of West High School, Class of 1951. She began her career at Ohio Bell Telephone Company where she worked for 10 years. Janet later became the founding librarian for Brown Elementary School, Hilliard City Schools, where she retired after 25 years-service. Janet is proceeded in death by her husband Marley Vance, son Daniel Vance. She is survived by daughter, Barbara Vance Fleischmann, grandchildren Kimberly Fleischmann and Douglas Fleischmann. Janet was a member of St James Lutheran Church, participating in the Altar Guild and Brats Festival. Donations may be made to St James Lutheran Church in her memory. Due to the current health crisis the family will have a private family viewing Monday 10 am at TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Interment will be held 11 am Monday at Sunset Cemetery.
