Jay Liggett

Jay William Liggett, age 92, formerly of Amlin, Ohio passed away quietly at home on Wednesday, April 1^st, 2020.  Jay was born December 24, 1927 and resided in Dublin, Ohio. He was a Hilliard High School graduate where he played football and was a member of the Future Farmers of America. Jay was a grain and dairy farmer, a member of the U.S. Farm Bureau and a 21-year member of the ASCS Agency. He enjoyed family and friends and traveled through all 50 of the United States. His favorite being Disneyworld in Florida. Jay is proceeded in death by his parents, Ida and Carlton Liggett and his sister Marianna Buck (Charlie). Jay is survived by his wife Margarett Liggett, children Christine Whitmer (Tom), Hope Brogan, Wayne Adkins, grandchildren Shannon, Haley, Liam, Bella, Nathan, Ashley and Maddie, great grandchildren Jayden, Riley, Bryce, Autumn, Lux, and Axel, nephews Chuck Buck (Mary), Steve Buck (Jackie), great nieces Mandy and Emily, great nephews Andy, Jared and Aaron, and numerous family and friends. We will all miss you………you always led by example. Heaven has gained a precious soul. God bless. A Celebration of Life service for Jay will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 11am-1pm at the Hilliard Church of Christ, 4300 Avery Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026. Family and friends are welcome.
