Jean Gabriel

Jean M. Gabriel, age 88, of Columbus, Ohio, born September 14, 1922, passed away peacefully, on March 1, 2011, in her home. She was blessed to share more than 67 wonderful years with the love of her life, her husband, Don. Jean graduated from The Ohio State University, and belonged to the Delta Gamma Sorority. Following her marriage, she moved to Shaker Heights, Ohio, where she was a member of First Baptist Church and served on the Board of Deacons, was President of Women’s Society, and President of the 49ers group. Jean and her family also lived in Lyndhurst, Ohio, then moved back to Hilliard, Ohio, where she and her husband opened Don Gino’s restaurant. She contributed greatly to the success of their restaurant with her delicious daily specials. She became a member of First Community Church, where she volunteered many hours at the Trading Post. Jean was born to the late Marcellus and Josephine Muskopf, and is survived by her husband, Don, and sons Ray (Hannelore) of Colorado, Lee H., and Gary (Marcia), 3 grandchildren, Aruna, Dan, and Bryant, special niece Shera, nephew John, and many dear family members and friends. Jean’s children and her family were her greatest treasures, and those who were blessed to know Jean, will continue to be inspired by her life. As she is welcomed in Heaven, we celebrate her life on earth. Memorial service will be held, this Saturday, March 5th, at 2:00 P.M. at First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Blvd., Columbus, OH in the Burkhart Chapel with Rev. James Long officiating.
