Jean Junk

Jean Elizabeth (Bigler) Junk, age 86, of Hilliard, passed away August 21, 2012. Born December 14, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio. 1943 Graduate of South High School. She worked for Huntington Bank. In 1956 she and her husband Web opened the Webster Junk Funeral Home. Active member of the Hilliard United Methodist Church; where she was the treasurer for many years. Member of the Hilliard Historical Society and Hilliard Senior Hall of Fame. Jean worked the election polls for many years, had many friends she enjoyed playing bridge and euchre with and was also a lifelong Reds and Buckeyes fan. Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Webster Junk and her sister Gertrude Bigler. Survived by her sister Marianne (John) Thompson, daughter Janet (Josway), granddaughters Katie and Sarah, son David Junk (Lisa), grandsons Chris and Evan, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Family will receive friends Friday 4-8pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday at the Hilliard United Methodist Church, 5445 Scioto Darby Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026 with Pastor David Ziegel officiating. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
