Jeane Lyons

Jean H. Lyons, loving wife, mother and sister passed away peacefully on April 8, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl J. Lyons and son, John H. Lyons. She graduated from Penn State University. She was a loving and wonderful homemaker for all her years and very active in serving her church, Hilliard United Presbyterian Church. Some of her activities included years of service with Meals-On-Wheels, Deaconess, Financial Secretary of the Women’s Association, and singing in the church choir. She also enjoyed planning the family vacations as well as being an accomplished sewer of many of her outfits she wore over her lifetime.

She is survived by her loving sister, Joan Leonard of Florida, daughter Kathryn Wiley (Wilbert Wiley) of Hilliard, son Pete Lyons of Mt. Vernon, grandsons Sam Lyons of Columbus and Karl Wiley Hilliard, granddaughter Kristin Ames (AJ Ames), and great grandchildren Genesis and Aires Ames.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 12 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at The Tidd Funeral Home 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, Ohio 43026.
A memorial service will be held at Hilliard United Presbyterian Church 3600 Leap Road Hilliard, Ohio on Wednesday, April 13 at 5:00pm.

A special thanks to the staff of Ohio Eastern Star of Mt. Vernon. Their love, care, and devotion to our mother’s well-being over her last months is and always will be greatly appreciated by the family. And to her friends at Ohio Eastern Star in Mt. Vernon, thank for your friendship towards her.
