Jeanne Iris Boyd

Jeanne Iris Boyd, age 94, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away at home on Thursday, April 26, 2018. Born in Columbus, Ohio to the late William and Margarette Boyd, Jeanne was a graduate of Columbus South High School. She attained her Bachelor of Science, Education degree from Capital University and her Masters, Education degree from The Ohio State University. Jeanne retired from the Columbus Public Schools after many years teaching first grade in various elementary schools in the Columbus district. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Margarette, her brother Charles Boyd and her sister Violette Boyd. Jeanne is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Reverend Donald E. and Roberta Boyd of Katy, TX; and her nieces and nephews: Robin and Lee Pantermuehl of Katy, TX, Joel and Penelope Boyd of Newport News, VA, Raven Boyd of Clute, TX, Micah Boyd of Tacoma, WA and Ren (Charles) Royal of Garland, TX. Funeral Services will be held 1:30p.m. THURSDAY, MAY 3, 2018 (TODAY) at UPPER ARLINGTON LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2300 Lytham Road, Columbus, OH 43220 where family will receive friends before the service from 12:30p.m-1:30p.m. Pastor Paul Uhlring, officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH. If they choose, friends may make memorial contributions to Upper Arlington Lutheran Church in Jeanne’s memory.
