Jeffrey L. Loosemore, 68 of Columbus, OH passed away of lung cancer at home on July 8, 2021, with his sister at his side.

Jeffrey was born May 20, 1953 in McCook, NB to Harry and Lucille Loosemore.  In 1956, the family moved from the Cornhusker state to the Buckeye state.  Jeff was a 1971 graduate of Hilliard High School.  Affectionately called “Loose” by his friends, Jeff enjoyed car racing events, golf (both as a participant and as a spectator), reading, sketching, photography and traveling.  In 1975, Jeff began employment with Columbus Candy which changed ownership to Keilson-Dayton in 2015.  Jeff enjoyed his job, working his way up to Warehouse Manager, a position he held until his death.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by parents, Harry and Lucille (McCandless) Loosemore, grandparents Ross and Nellie, David and Lillie.  He is survived by his sister, Patsy Loosemore of Columbus and cousins Karen (Gerald) in Nebraska Lucy, Don, Kate, Pauline in Missouri, David (Julie) in Florida, Kevin (Heidi) in Texas, and Tim in Hawaii, many loving relatives and friends.

Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and supporting medical staff at Riverside Hospital as well as the OhioHealth Hospice team for their compassion and care for Jeff.  Following Jeff’s wishes, he will be cremated and interred in a private ceremony at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Hilliard.

A visitation/memorial service will be held from 1 to 3pm on Saturday, July 17 at the Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026.  The service may be viewed on Tiddfuneralservice.com.   In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Cancer Society or OhioHealth Hospice.
