Jerry M. Lewis

Jerry M. Lewis, age 79, passed peacefully on January 17, 2019, at home after a long battle with cancer. Born February 28, 1939, to the late Myrl E. and Mary Louise Lewis. Survived by wife of 52 years, Wilma Lewis, children Dave (Sherry) Lewis, Dean Lewis, grandchildren Lindsey (Will) Stacy, Emili (Nick) Engle, David Lewis, Ellen Lewis, great-grandchildren Carter and Olivia Stacy and Ethan Engle, sister Margie Overturf, brother Larry (Donna) Lewis, brother-in-law Robert Geisinger, many special nieces and nephews,  family and friends.

He grew up on a farm in Madison County. He was a welder and mechanical repairman. Over the years, he and his wife worked to purchase land for farming, which was his first love. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards.

Family will receive friends on Monday, January 21 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm and funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Porter-Tidd Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling. Interment will be held at Bethel Cemetery, Range Township. Donations can be made to Heartland Hospice, 116 Morris Road, Unit C, Circleville OH 43113.
