Jerry D. Musselman, age 74 of Orient, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009 in Mt. Carmel West Medical Center. He was born August 26, 1935 in Pickaway County, Ohio, son of the late Bennett and Esther (Redman) Musselman. Jerry was a retired machinist and farmer. Member of the Derby United Methodist Church, Past Master of Masonic Lodge #269 F & AM in Mt. Sterling, Past Patron of Sterling Chapter #74 O.E.S., and Scottish Rite.

Mr. Musselman was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter; grandson Andrew Smith; brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carol (Riddle) Musselman; children, Donna (Don) Smith of Ft. Wayne, IN., Ted (Karen) Musselman of Ashville, Mary Lou (Dave) Valone of Orient, and Bev (Dan) Riffle of Orient; 11 grandchildren Heather (Mark) Sawicki, Nicole (David) Cone, Anna (Tim) Goodbar, Katie Musselman, Jared (Taylor) Musselman, Becky Valone, Tony Valone, Tera Valone, Matthew, Michael, and Mitchell Riffle;

3 great grandchildren, Darriek Valone, Benjamin Sawicki, and Emma Cove; Brothers, Thomas ( Florence) Musselman, Ned (Betty) Musselman, and David (Bertie) Musselman; sisters, Betty Bauhan, Ruth Jean Hubbell; numerous nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews.

A Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2009 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Leland Brehm officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 2 – 5 p.m.

A Masonic service will be given in his honor at 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorial contributions may be given to Lewy Body Dementia Association, P.O.Box 451429, Atlanta, GA. 31145-9429.
