Jim Groves

Jim Groves, age 51, passed away January 25, 2016 at Kobacker House surrounded by his beloved wife Stephanie, and mother and father-in-law Brenda and Ron Hesson, after a ten-month battle with brain cancer. Born August 16th 1964, Jim always put family first and lived for his children and grandchildren. He was full of joy and his love of life was contagious to all who knew him. He brightened every room by singing, making everyone laugh and putting on a show. He enjoyed working at City Electric Supply and had many friends and colleagues there. He will be greatly missed by wife Stephanie Groves, sons Justin (Mackenzie) Groves, Nicholas (Valerie) Groves, Lake Hesson, grandchildren Carson, Noah, Ava, his loving mother Mary Jo Groves, mother and father-in-law Brenda and Ron Hesson, brother Richie Groves, brother-in-law Eric (Hallie) Hesson, his loving Aunt Eva and Uncle Greg Harsh, Aunt Rosella Ridenour, Uncle Arthur Groves, and nieces Marissa Groves, Samantha Hesson, nephews Ryan Groves, Tyler Groves, Matthew Groves, Joe Hesson, and many cousins. Preceded in death by son, Jimmy Groves, brother Billy Groves, father James Edward Groves, grandparents Beatrice and Lowell Groves, Josephine and Loren Tufts, Aunt Barbara Groves, Uncle Billy Joe Ridenour. A celebration of life will be held Friday January 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Tidd Family Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard with Pastor Stan Kirtlan officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway, OH. Friends may call Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kobacker House in memory of Jim.
