RUSOFF
JoAnn Rusoff (Fondaw), aged 86, died peacefully at St. Ann's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday, December 24, 2015 (Christmas Eve). Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 20, 1929. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dr. Maurice B. Rusoff, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar F. Fondaw Sr. (her father and wife Nell), Mr. and Mrs. Oscar F. Fondaw Jr. (her older brother and wife Katherine) and her first husband, Martin H. Thiel. She is survived by her beloved son, Martin H. Rusoff, daughter-in-law, Courtney and grandson, Bradley, her brother, James H. Fondaw and his wife Susan, nephews, James, Robert and Ronald and niece, Christine. Also by grandson, Dr. Michael E. Scovner. JoAnn believed that music and art need to be a part of everyone's life. Preserving, promoting and sharing the arts was her way of making the world a little bit better place for everyone. During her life, JoAnn served on the boards of the Columbus Symphony, Opera Columbus, The Franklin Park Conservatory and supported many other organizations promoting music and art in Columbus. Maurice and JoAnn were members of St. Albans Episcopal Church. For many years they were also members of the Capitol Club, the Athletic Club, The OSU Faculty Club, Winding Hollow Country Club, the Rocky Fork Hunt Club and The Creighton Club. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public service and her family will inter her ashes in the Spring with those of her husband at St. Albans. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Ann's hospital for the kindness and sensitivity they showed towards JoAnn in both her treatment and in making her comfortable in accordance with her wishes.
