JoAnn M. Vogelsang

JoAnn Margaret Vogelsang, age 85, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at her daughter’s home.  Born in Columbus, Ohio. JoAnn was preceded in death by beloved husband Gary who passed in July 2021, her parents George and Ethel (Wiseman) Mangold, sisters Blanch Antolich, Helen Myers, Viola Drake and Shirley Mangold, brother Ronald Mangold.  JoAnn is survived by her sister LaDonna Erne and her children Melissa (Donald) Christian and Brian (Nacole) Vogelsang, three grandchildren: Christopher (Elizabeth) Pennington, Brandon Vogelsang and Aaron Vogelsang; step-grandchildren; Nikki (Mike) and Leha (Ollie) Christian; Five great-grandchildren; Hadley, Mariah, Neaveh, Carleigh and AJ. JoAnn loved her children and she would do anything for them. JoAnn’s hobbies were crossword puzzles, collecting Teddy bears, collectibles and crocheting. JoAnn enjoyed family, holiday gatherings, cooking, camping, bowling, selling Word Gift, her pets and anything about Queen Elizabeth. JoAnn’s habits were cleaning and organization.  JoAnn’s favorite musicians were Susan Boyle, Elvis, her kids’ and grandchildren’s marching band performances and Christmas music.  JoAnn’s favorite places were beaches, Gloucester, MA, Gatlinburg, TN, and exploring caves. She wished to travel to England.

The family will have a Memorial Service at 11:00a.m. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2022 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio 43026 (614)-876-1722. Family will greet friends before the service from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. Deacon Paul Zemanek, officiating.
