Joanne Zipf Higgins, age 59, of Dublin, passed away Monday, August 27, 2007. Member of The Dublin Community Church, Dublin Arts Council, Life Scapes and Dublin Women’s Club. She had been on the Board of Dublin Parks and Recreation, past President and Vice President of Dublin City Schools Board of Education. Preceded in death by mother Norma P. Fisher. Survived by her father George A. Fisher, Jr., husband Roy Higgins, sons William B. Zipf, Jr. and Robert E. Zipf, II, daughter Thanda Meehan, sister Marilen Heckler, and five grandchildren. Friends may call 5-8 pm Thursday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday at The Dublin Community Church, 81 W. Bridge St., Dublin, OH 43017 with Rev. Tussing officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Selinsgrove, PA at a later date.
