Joe Flowers

Joe Flowers, age 81, formerly of Hilliard, passed away October 21, 2016 surrounded by his loving family after a long struggle with cancer. Joe was born in Man, West Virginia. Preceded in death by parents John and Leona Flowers; brother Ed Flowers; sisters Nellie, Cora, Dorey, Rosa, Letha, Lucy and Josie. Joe was the retired owner of Flowers Upholstering. He was a 45 year member of AA and a lifetime custom car and motorcycle enthusiast. He also enjoyed scuba diving and photography. Joe was a devoted husband and father. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years Mary Ellen; daughters Terri Dingess and Jerri Baker; granddaughters, Kelly Dingess, Brittany (T.J.) Self, Joellen Dingess; great grandson, Hunter Joseph Self; loving sister Sandra Goodwin and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 4 to 7 pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016 12 pm at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel on the grounds of St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH. Burial St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice.
