John Freeman

John R Freeman,58, passed away at his home in Columbus, Ohio, on October 16, 2024. John was born on April 25, 1966, in Lancaster, Ohio, to John and Mary Freeman. John is survived by his wife, Lisa of 21 years of marriage, son Luke, and two brothers, James, and Jason (Maggie). John is also survived by parents-in-law Donald and Carol Parker, brother-in-law Sean (Judy), and sister-in-law Heather as well as nephew Austin Freeman and nieces Sara and Catherine Parker. John is preceded in death by parents John and Mary Freeman and an infant sister. 

John graduated from Lancaster High School in 1986 and moved to Columbus, Ohio, a short time after. John was a hard worker and enjoyed a variety of jobs over the years. 

An avid gardener, John, spent many hours tending his flowers and making his yard look beautiful. He loved yard sales, thrift store shopping, and enjoyed finding a good bargain. John and Lisa loved Sunday road-trips together and occasionally traveling out of state. The Fairfield County Fair was one of John’s favorite fall activities. John took great pride in entertaining family and friends. He enjoyed preparing feasts and special meal treats for all who came to his home and patio.

John was an active member of First Community Church of Columbus where he enjoyed fellowship and participation in church functions.

Family will receive friends Monday, October 28, 2024, from 11am-12:30 pm at First Community Church-North Campus, 3777 Dublin Road, Columbus, 43221, where the funeral service will follow at 1pm.
