John M. Hemmer

John M. Hemmer, age 60, of Hilliard, passed away November 16, 2024. Member of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church. John graduated from West Central High School, Class of 1983. John was employed with ARC West for 37 years. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing basketball, swimming, doing puzzles, watching classic MY TV shows and was a Special Olympics gold medalist. Preceded in death by parents Paul and Helen (Sullivan) Hemmer and Pauline (Masters) Hemmer, beloved aunts Margaret Sullivan and Anna (Roy) Howell. Survived by siblings Christine M. (Charles) Bright, Susan K. (Russell) Adams, Rev. Peggy Ann Serena Hemmer, Mary Beth (David) Aeh and Paul K. (Joanna) Hemmer, many nieces, nephews and John’s extended Master’s family who embraced him and many friends. Family would like to extend a special thank you for John’s loving care from the staff at Morning View Care Center Community Services and Capitol City Hospice. Family will receive friends 4pm-6pm Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10am Friday, November 22, 2024 at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026. Interment Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
