John E. Huntley

John E. Huntley passed away on April 27, 2024, at the age of 92 in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorathea Joanne Saltz Huntley, with whom he shared a happy and full life.  He is survived by his daughter Jill A. Huntley and his son Jeffrey L. Huntley (Sherri).  Dad served as a United States Army military policeman in the Korean War, Co B, 772^nd Bn, APO 59 and was honorably discharged, having earned Korean, United Nations, and National Defense Service Medals.  He attended Mifflin High School and graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.  Later, he was awarded a Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School and maintained a long and successful general practice law career, with a focus on workers’ compensation.  Dad was deeply proud of Jeff’s daughters-his granddaughters-Katherine Muncey (Ryan) and Patricia Huntley and cherished every moment spent with them.  The family will hold a private remembrance for their Dad/Pagaw.  Should you wish to support a cause that was important to Dad, please consider a contribution to the election campaign of any Democrat running for local, state or federal office-or a donation in his memory to Doctors Without Borders.
