John E. Michalik

John E. Michalik, age 85, of Hilliard, passed away, Friday, July 31, 2009. He was a WWII Army Veteran who served in the Philippines receiving a medal. Member of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, the CWA, and Pioneers of America. He loved tinkering with electronics. Preceded in death by wife Bernice P. Michalik (Abraham) and sister Tillie (Trzcinski) Pausch. Survived by daughter Cynthia (Jason) Goldhaber, stepdaughter Geraldine Rush, sister Florence Theisen, grandson Eric Goldhaber and numerous loving relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 am Monday at St. Brendan the Navigator Church, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland, OH.
