John Rossi

John Frederick Rossi, age 85, of Barberton, OH, passed away September 15, 2013 at the Laurels of Hilliard, OH. He was a US Army Veteran Corporal 4th Grade, with 544th Quarter Master Co. serving in Salzburg, Austria. Worked for many years at B.F. Goodrich until going to Newspaper Transportation where he worked for nearly 30 years and retired in the early 1990’s. Preceded in death by wife Elizabeth Rossi, parents Constantine and Frieda (Herzog) Rossi, brothers Eric (Irene) Rossi and Severino Rossi, sisters Eileen (Bill) Renner and Frances (Carl) Bennett. Survived by daughters Erika Rossi, of Hilliard, OH and Tammy (Kenneth) White of Lower Salem, OH, sisters Frieda (Frank) Frisone and Grace (Adolf) Tomc, brother James (Ruth) Rossi, sister-in-law Betty Rossi, numerous loving relatives and friends. John was a man of true moral character. Devoted husband, father, brother, son and friend. He touched the lives of everyone he knew or met with his generosity, humor, kindness and gentleness. He was a strong man with a deep respect and love for God, always placing his family or others above himself, a truly self-less man. John was a wonderful example to all who knew him of how to live a life of service and love to others in his own humble and quiet ways. He always showed everyone the utmost respect, kindness and love and this is how he will be remembered by those of us who knew him. He will be deeply missed and loved forever, but finally at peace in the Lord’s hands. A celebration of life service will be held 12 pm Saturday, September 28, 2013 with visitation 1 hour prior to the time of service at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 1990 South Main St., Akron, OH 44301.
