John Smith, age 84, of Hilliard, passed away December 12, 2016. US Navy Veteran. John was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family. Preceded in death by parents Roscoe and Marjorie Smith, daughter Barbara Allen, 4 brothers and 1 sister. Survived by loving wife of 61 years Elizabeth, children Carol Steed, Robert Smith and Charles (Griselda) Smith, sister Mary (Fred) Jenkins, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends 1-2pm Thursday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 2 pm. Following John’s wishes, please dress casual. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to V.A. Hospital or Parkinson’s Research. Burial Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
