John M. Upperman

On Friday, August 28, 2020, John M. Upperman, loving husband, father and grandfather passed away at home. John was born August 3, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio. On December 7, 1968 he married Mary E. Holcomb. John was a life-long resident of Hilliard, Ohio and graduated from Hilliard High School, Class of 1967. He was a United States Marine serving as a Scout Sniper and was a Vietnam War Veteran. John was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Elizabeth and brothers Kenneth and Bobby Upperman. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary, son Jonathan (Tonya) Upperman, grandsons Alex and Adam Upperman, brother Edward (Sharon) Upperman. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00p.m. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2020 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722 where United State Marine Corps Honors will be rendered at 7:00p.m. Family burial will be held later at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
