John Vertal

John R. Vertal, 66, of Hilliard, Oh., went to be reunited with his loved ones who passed before him on March 24, 2016. He will be missed by all that knew him. John had a lively, charismatic and humorous personality that lit up a room wherever he went. He was never one to hold back his thoughts and feelings. His passion and love for those closest to him never wavered.
John received his MBA from Baldwin Wallace and his undergraduate degree from Cleveland State. He was a proud member of the Hilliard Planning and Zoning Committee for over 15 years. He had a very successful career as an executive recruiter, including a long tenure with G. W. Henn and Company. He was a member of St. Brendan's in Hilliard and enjoyed attending Program 60 classes at The Ohio State University.
John is preceded in death by his beloved wife Janet, his parents John and Lucille Vertal, and in-laws Walter and Florence Griesmer. He is survived by his children Mark, Linda (Robert), and Robyn (Sean), adoring grandkids Maxwell and Natalie, brothers Jerry (Donna) and Michael (Wendy) and sister Lucy (Steve). Friends may call Tuesday, March 29 from 6-8pm at TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, Oh. Additional visitation Wed. March 30 at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard at 10am with Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
