John Wilt

John L. Wilt, age 90, of Hilliard, born August 8, 1925, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016. He was born in Fayette County, Ohio to Willie Mason Wilt and Minnie Carol Sanderson Wilt. He is survived by his wife Helen Marjorie Graumlich Wilt, whom he married on October 10, 1948. John was owner and operator of Wilt Auto Parts in Hilliard and Plain City Parts Company for 27 years. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran. A charter and very active member of Hilliard Kiwanis for over 50 years, founding member of Hilliard Chamber of Commerce, 4-H Advisor, avid antique collector, member of Model T and Model A and Lincoln Collectors Clubs. He was a Miami Valley Steam Threshers member, Buckeye State Button Society, Central Ohio button collector, and Cambridge Glass Club member. He is preceded in death by brothers; Chester, Ralph, Grant, Carl, Willie and their spouses, an infant brother and sister, Alice. Also, preceding him is his son-in-law Ron Boggs and brother-in-law Traverse Hollingsworth. He is also survived by his children Shirley (fiancée William Kuhn), Dennis and his wife Lisa Wilt and Craig, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Amy Wilt Nichols, Austin Wilt, Ashlyn, Hunter and Reagan Nichols, all of whom brought much joy to his life. Also, left to mourn his passing are his sisters Leona Fern Hollingsworth and Wanda Wilt, brothers and sisters-in-law Marlyn, Robert (Sandra), Richard (Margaret), Malcolm, Ronald (Sandra), Connie Boggs Barrett, Brian and Aidan and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Hilliard Food Pantry, 5454 Franklin St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Family will receive friends 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM Sunday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday. Interment will be held 3 pm Monday at Milledgeville- Plymouth Cemetery, Jefferson-Jasper Township, OH.
