John Wisler, age 71, of Hilliard, OH passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025.
A passionate Ohio State football fan, John was known for his unwavering loyalty to the Buckeyes and the legendary Wisler Family Tailgates that welcomed friends, family, and fellow fans together year after year. Whether in the parking lot at Ohio Stadium or hosting parties for the Memorial Tournament, he always knew how to have a good time and bring joy to any occasion.
A dedicated father, brother, uncle, and friend, John lived life to the fullest. He was the life of the party. He told the most enthusiastic and elaborate stories.
John is preceded in death by his parents, George D Wisler & Helen (Downing) Wisler, and his uncle, Maxwell Wisler.
He is survived by his children, Jessica McEnaney (Brian) and Jennifer Bridwell (Zach), his siblings, Jerry Wisler, Jim Wisler, Kathy Mahoney (Dan), and Joe Wisler, his grandchildren, Adeline McEnaney, Clara McEnaney, Blake Bridwell, Logan Bridwell, and Reece Bridwell as well as many nieces and nephews.
For those who would like to join the family in prayer, there will be a prayer service held at Tidd Family Funeral Home on Sunday, January 19th, 2025 from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM, located at 5265 Norwich St, Hilliard, OH 43026. Immediately following the prayer service, the family invites all friends, family, and acquaintances to a Celebration of Life at Fado Pub and Kitchen located at 6652 Riverside Dr. Dublin, OH 43017 from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM. Please stop by and join us to cherish memories, share stories, and toast to John.
The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers or gifts of remembrance, donations be made to the James Cancer Research Center or a charity of choice in his honor.
