Jonathan Whipple

Jonathan “Jon” Whipple, age 49, of Columbus passed away Saturday April 11, 2009 at his residence surrounded by family and friends. Jon was born and raised in Berea, OH. He was a graduate of Berea High School, Class of 1977 and attended O.U. graduating in 1982 with a degree in Organizational Communications. He was a born salesman and always had a joke to tell. He was huge fan of all Cleveland sports, including The Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers. He loved to fix things and always seemed to have projects going on. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Emily “Jump” Whipple. He is survived by loving wife of 25 years, Amy Whipple; children, Emily and Grant Whipple; brothers, Christopher (Krista) and Timothy; sister, Elizabeth (Frank); the Jump family, including aunts, uncles, and 11 cousins; Whipple nieces and nephew; and John and Rochelle Caddey family. Friends may call from 2-4pm Sunday April 19, 2009 at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026 where a celebration of Jon’s life will begin at 4pm.
