Joseph Thomas Broughton

Joseph Thomas Broughton of Galloway, Ohio passed away on July 28, 2008. A native of Shelby County, KY, and a US Marine Corps veteran, he was the son of the late James William & Charlotte Samples Broughton, of Shelbyville, KY. He is survived by his wife Carmelita Manalo of Ohio; two daughters Robin Diane Broughton (Dale) Couch and Lisa Marie Broughton Dreher; seven sons Kevin Keith Broughton and Steven Michael Broughton of Indiana, Christopher Lee (Laura) Broughton of Arizona, David Alan (Patria) Broughton of Ohio, Shawn Joseph Broughton of Florida, Craig Ross (Kylee) Broughton of Mexico and Michael Thomas (Brooke) Broughton of Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 brothers, William Franklin Broughton, Alvis Donald Broughton and James Wesley Broughton; and 3 sisters, Ethel Marcella Broughton Popp, Mary Lou Broughton Holt and Josephine Jo Jo Broughton Heltsley, all of Shelbyville, KY. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Alan Broughton; two sisters, Lillie Mae Broughton Cooke and Nettie Rosetta Broughton Heath; and a grandson, Jonathon Edward Henry. The family will receive friends Friday 2-6 PM at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard. Further visitation and funeral to be held at Hall & Taylor Funeral Home in Shelbyville, KY with interment at Cropper Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joseph Broughton Memorial Fund through any Fifth Third Bank.
